HoHoHo ~ it's almost here!!! Remember when you were a kid you couldn't wait for Christmas to get here, now some of you probably can't wait until it's over! Well I, for one, look forward to it, and will miss it once it's gone! So this week, here's a VERY TRADITIONAL Christmas color theme... and it's based on probably the most expensive Christmas apron I've ever seen! But for only $105, it CAN be yours, from pbyersdesign Etsy shop! It IS cute, though...

Is it me, or do everyone's entries just keep getting better?!? You're right... it's not just me...

Steph's card with the button ornaments is so cute & I love how effortlessly perfect she used the colors! LeAnne (2nd week in a row!) added such fabulous detail of snowflakes that echoed through the card, that I thought was super swell! Wow, Christmas is almost here ~ YAY! For this week's inspiration, I saw this beautiful Amy Butler rug... and loved these colors! It reminds me of snowflakes! Although I didn't use any snowflakes, here's my take (more info on my blog):

colourQ challenge #10 ~ Winner Crowned...

Wow~ either everyone's busy with Christmas or these colors were not very enticing this week...lol! My apologies for the late post... I've lost power a couple times this evening & we're in the middle of major storms... may need a boat to get to work tomorrow... I wish I were kidding!We did have some very awesome entries though. I also forgot to link the inspiration pic to the site it came from... and when I went back to do it, they had sold out! This was a retro snowman cookie jar from Retro-Redheads.com.


I appreciate everyone that played along this week! You gals always manage to knock my socks off! I usually don't do much in the way of 3-D or packages, but this entry really made me wish I did! This week's colourQueen is....

colourQ challenge #10...

Good morning! Here's challenge #10 ~ YAY! I know, the colors appear to be difficult this week... but it IS a challenge, lol! I decided to use the colors in an image & then use them sparingly in cardstock & patterned papers & more details are on my blog. Here's my attempt...



Our two guest designers did a fabulous job, check these out! The first is Amy's, her ribbon rosette is so cool & I love that border punch! Next is Beverly's. She found a really cute way to incorporate "snow" into her snowflake! Aren't their cards awesome? Clicking on their pics will take you to their blogs... which you WILL want to do! They're both super talented ladies!

I know with Christmas coming up, it's getting harder for everyone to find time to do everything, especially "create". But should you find the time throughout the rest of this holiday, colourQ will still have a new challenge each week! And for most of you who don't know... I'll be having a baby girl mid-January! I already have the challenges planned through that time, so there won't be an interruption then, either. It's been so cool to get to know each of you through your blogs and creative work... let's just say at this point, I'm addicted - lol!

colourQ challenge #9...

Welcome to the colourQ challenge #9... Christmas carols are already on the radio and in the stores... I'm sure most of you have gotten a jump on your decorating and shopping, but if have not (like me!), today's inspiration is a project from Good Housekeeping magazine. You can make this beautiful, yet funky, Christmas Ball Wreath, by following a few simple directions! A great way to recycle any ornaments you don't want to use! If you scroll through the slide show, it's project #4.

My project is a gift card holder "stocking"... complete with blingy goodness! At this rate I'll be completely out of bling by Christmas! You can read more about it on my blog in a little while...

Linda did some awesome coloring and sponging... isn't is beautiful? And I love her layout, too! Krystal's baby wipe technique is so cool (have to try that one) and I love her snow!!! Here are Linda & Krystal's cards, now you see why they were previous colourQueens!
