colourQ challenge #44...

Good morning & happy Tuesday! Sorry I'm lagging... I have a cry baby at home, well she could be teething, or have gas, or be sleepy, and her cold is trying to hang on a little longer... nonetheless she's been in the throes of a crying spell the last couple days especially when Mama is around! Today's gorgeous colors are inspired by a really cute halter top over at Anthrpologie! It amazes me how crafting companies, like Stampin' Up! "forecast" the new In-colors and then you see them everywhere! Or are they already everywhere & you just don't notice until you have the paper & inks to match - lol!?!?

Here's my take on this week's colors - I only had about 10 minutes to throw this together, I hope some of you time-strapped crafters approve...

Whew, did we ever have some gorgeous entries last week! The judging was fierce! I noticed on some of your blogs a lot of you said these were colors you'd NEVER put together, but you all made these colors work so beautifully! There were a lot of cool things in the winning card this week, I loved the bow, the sideways sentiment & how effortlessly the colors were pulled together! colourQ challenge #43...

Whew, I'm draggin' this morning ~ I literally hit the snooze button for almost an hour - lol! Maisie was up late very congested & miserable, so my whole "blogging" schedule was pushed back!

WELCOME to week #43 here at the colourQ!!! It's so amazing seeing everyone's entries each week - they just get BETTER & BETTER!!! That's the goal right? To sharpen our skills, challenge ourselves & learn from every blog we come across? Oh yeah - and HAVE FUN! This week's inspiration comes from Saks Fifth Avenue, the Milly Chevron Beach Blanket with Pillow. Not only did I like the colors, I was impressed that someone was trying to sell a beach blanket for $375.00! I'll take two! [sarcasm] Anyway, I was delighted to find that it's now on sale, for a mere $186.99. Still a little out of my price range... but at least we got some crafty inspiration from it, right?
