colourQ challenge #16...

Here's my take on this week's challenge... aren't these colors YUMMY!?! This week's inspiration comes from artist Susan Sheehan, at Artfire.com. These are handmade lampwork beads, aren't they gorgeous? More info on my card can be found at my blog!

Thanks so much to these ladies for making such gorgeous samples for you today... clearly you can see how the're excellent skills earned them their places as former colourQueens! colourQ challenge #15 ~ Winners Crowned...

Ahh... the long awaited colourQueen winner post~ sorry it took me this long! The 27 entries we had last week were SO AWESOME!!! Each and every one was a work of art, just beautiful! I loved looking through all the entries again today, and narrowing it down to one colourQueen was out of the question... so I hope the following FOUR ladies don't mind reigning together this week, their cards were outstanding!!! Not only have they earned the official badge, but in the future I'll be bugging them to be a guest designer. So a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to:

Here she is...

... Maisie Grace! She was born at 9:08 am on January 14th, 2010, weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces, and was 19 inches long. We are so thrilled that she is finally here!

I had her by c-section, very easy, but very nerve-wracking. I imagine it's different when you go into labor, maybe the adrenaline helps? For me, it being a "scheduled delivery" just gave me a "scheduled" time to worry! But we made it! Here's my first time holding her, and also a picture of daddy & his little princess...

We were able to leave the hospital early, on Saturday, since we were both doing well. But it took most of the day to finally get discharged! Here's Maisie's little going home outfit... she's so petite that all her clothes are way too big!

I was pretty tired by the time we got home... but we've had a great few days now, and I've been getting a 'little' bit more sleep than I thought I would (not much - but a little!). She's been a very easy baby so far... keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks so much for everyone's prayers and well wishes, you are all so sweet and I feel very blessed to have so many terrific stamping friends! You rock!!!

I'm trying like crazy to get the winner post finished up & posted later! I didn't have internet in the hospital, so I'm still going through all the entries... I'll try not to be too late!
